Las relaciones entre el poder ejecutivo y el legisltaivo: el caso de México
Abstract
This article focuses on the executive-legislative relations in the case of Mexico. Through the analysis of these relations in both the period of stability and transition of the Mexican political systerm it shows that the traditional supremacy of the executive is not based on ill-designed congressional instituion or on extended rights constitutionally granted to the president. Rather, it is argued that one should be looking at a set of institutional features that have produced not only large congressional contingents for the president's party but also a disciplined and loyal behaviour from congressmen to the president.Downloads
