The Division of Political Studies at CIDE invites applications for two tenure-track positions at its campus in Mexico City in particular in the fields of comparative political economy and quantitative research methods at the assistant professor level. Women are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidates are required to hold a PhD at most two months after starting employment. While immediate fluency in Spanish is not required, one year after the appointment, the successful applicants are expected to teach
classes in Spanish.

CIDE is a social-science research institute, teaching graduate and undergraduate programs to select students in small groups. Our department was recently ranked as the top political science department in Latin America, as measured by publication impact. The position offers a competitive salary with a lower-than-average teaching load.
